JESUS IS THE WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

People who say that Jesus was just a good man or a great teacher have certainly not read the Bible. Jesus was pretty unmistakable in his claims.

Jesus is the way. When people show us the “way,” they give us directions or show us the path to our desired destination. If we are seeking God, then Jesus is the way—the only way. We cannot get to the Father except through Jesus. In other words, to have a relationship with God, we must believe in his Son, who accepted the punishment for our sin so that we could approach our holy God.

Jesus is the truth. When something is true, it is dependable, reliable, trustworthy and right. Jesus himself is truth; everything he says and does is true, right and trustworthy. Our trust is in the right place when we place it in the truth.

Jesus is the life. Sure, everyone is alive, but true “life,” a life of complete and total satisfaction, joy and fulfillment can be found in only in Christ. 

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME:

• I am way, the truth and the life.

• I am the only way you can gain eternal life and total satisfaction.

MY PRAYER TO GOD:

Thank you for being the way to salvation, Lord. You are the truth and the life. Nothing this world can offer satisfies; nothing gives total fulfillment or contentment except you. Amen.
