GOD GIVES PEACE IN CRAZY TIMES

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Few people in this world have ever known true peace. Most live in a state of trepidation. In uneventful times they find plenty about which to be anxious. And when life gets really nerve-wracking, they completely fall apart.

It’s not just the irreligious who fit this description. Sadly, God’s people are often some of the most worrisome folks around.

But look at the promise of Christ, the one the prophets called the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus offers us peace in him. If we don’t have peace, we need to look at our lives. Are we living in his will and trusting in his Word?

In the darkest times and saddest moments this world can throw at you, take heart. Let the peace of Christ rule your heart.

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME:

• You will have troubles in this life.

• During worldly trials and sorrows, you can find peace in me.

MY PRAYER TO GOD:

O God, help me learn to rest in you, to draw near to you in good times and bad. Thank you for the promise of victory over my trials. In tough times teach me to look to you and lean on you. Make me an example of your supernatural peace. Amen.
