GOD LOOKS OUT FOR YOU

Psalm 145:8

The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

In a typical day we encounter people who are grouchy and snippy. That’s just life. Get in the way of self-centered people who are rushing about to get things done and you’re almost certain to get run over.

Genuine followers of Christ are guilty too. We occasionally succumb to the pressures of busyness and morph into demanding and irritable people with little patience for an elderly driver, a forgetful colleague or a clumsy child.

Aren’t you glad God doesn’t get cranky or make cutting remarks about us when we err? No rolling eyes. No looks of disgust. Ever. Instead, he is compassionate, patient, slow to get angry and “rich in love.” 

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME

• I am kind and merciful.

• I am slow to get angry.

• I am full of unfailing love.

MY PRAYER TO GOD:

O, Lord, you are compassionate. Thank you for not treating me as I deserve. You are slow to get angry and quick to show love. I praise you for never getting upset with me. Help me to treat others the way I’ve been treated by you. Amen.
