GOD WILL GIVE YOU PERFECT COUNSEL

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

Proverbs 3:13

For many decades, millions of desperate and confused people sought guidance from two syndicated columns: “Ask Ann Landers” and “Dear Abby.” Some people have actually built their lives upon the guidance they received from various advice columnists. Are advice columnists the best we can do for gaining wise counsel?

If we want surefire counsel based in truth, if we want guidance that works, we need the wisdom that comes straight from God. This wisdom is the only advice that will satisfy us. As the above proverb promises, “blessed are those who find wisdom.”

If you’re scratching your head as you ponder your next move, take your questions to God himself. As you listen to the Word and the Spirit, you’ll eventually know the best course of action. 

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME:

• I will give you wisdom.

• I will gladly show you what to do.

MY PRAYER TO GOD:

O Lord, when times get tough, it is hard to know what to do. I need wisdom from above. I praise you for being the source of all wisdom. Help me to remember your willingness to help in my times of trial. Amen.
