Pressing Forward in 2026

Proverbs 23:18 - “For surely there is an end, and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”

Yesterday marked the end of 2025, a year characterized by significant events, personal milestones, and global challenges. As always, the passage of time impacted us in various ways—bringing joy, reflection, and sometimes difficulty. Some find it challenging to let go of their current situation, convinced that their struggles will never end. Conversely, others are relieved that their hardships have finally come to an end, experiencing a sense of closure and renewal. While some may see the end of a phase as a sad occurrence, others view it as an opportunity for fresh beginnings and positive change.

One undeniable reality is that everything, including time itself, will eventually come to an end. As we journey through life, we pass through different stages of maturity—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—and it is natural to move from one phase to the next, progressing toward higher levels of growth. This applies to every facet of our being: physical development, mental wisdom, emotional resilience, and spiritual deepening. As we strive to grow and mature physically, we should also seek to develop mental clarity and emotional stability. Moreover, spiritual maturity should be our primary pursuit, as it forms the foundation of our walk with the Lord and enhances our service to Him.

The verse we focus on today offers a beautiful and reassuring promise for those who trust in God’s sovereignty. It emphasizes finality, yet it also points toward hope and anticipation. It reminds us that even in the face of setbacks, obstacles, and opposition, there is always hope—greater expectations waiting to be fulfilled. When difficulties arise, we can place our confidence in God's power, trusting that He will help us overcome every challenge. These trials can serve as opportunities for growth, refinement, and deeper reliance on Him.

As we step into a new year, let us take this moment to surrender everything—including our past mistakes, regrets, and setbacks—to the Lord. Embrace this new beginning with sincere anticipation and faith in God's promises. Expect greater things from Him, knowing that His plans for us are good. We can rely on the guidance and strength of Christ to lead us through any wilderness, valley, desert, or mountain we may encounter along the way. With unwavering trust in God, we will be helped, strengthened, and rewarded.

Praise be to God—there is an end to the past, and a glorious future awaits us. Let us seize the opportunity to discover what God has prepared for us in 2026. The key to beginning this new chapter is to start right—with a heart entirely dependent on God’s grace and guidance.

Have a blessed and Joyous New Year!
