But God is Faithful

Dec 16, 2023

1 Corinthians 10:13 - “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Difficulties are a part of life and can come in varying degrees of severity and often in a series of events. Recently, I experienced this with my family. Like most people, I had questions and doubts about why this was happening. But I know God has given us the strength to overcome challenges and keep moving forward.

We all face unexpected challenges in life, and it can be tough to accept them with a positive outlook. Unless we are guilty and deserving of consequences, it's natural to feel like we don't deserve to suffer. However, when we know our heart is right with God, we can find the strength to face these challenges with courage and perseverance.

Instead of questioning God when we face difficulties, let us search our hearts and examine if we have done anything to displease Him. If our suffering results from our mistakes and sins, let us take responsibility, confess, and make it right. This way, we can turn our struggles into opportunities for growth and self-improvement.

In times of suffering, accepting God's will is key to moving forward. Let us avoid complaining and despair and instead choose endurance as our path towards a better tomorrow and continue serving the Lord joyfully.

James 1:2-5 - “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; [3] Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. [4] But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. [5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

In times of suffering, we may face judgment and accusations from others. However, we must shift our focus to the Lord and not be swayed by the opinions of men. Remember, only God is the ultimate judge.

In times of trouble, we can find comfort in the promises God has given us through the Apostle Paul. He has equipped us with the power to overcome any difficulty and promised us a way out. Even when it seems like there is no way, we can trust that our loving God will make a way.

We can overcome any challenge and emerge victorious from every fiery trial with God's grace. It's truly amazing to think about it. We must develop the attitude of completely trusting the process God wants us to go through. He knows us better than we know ourselves.

Our Prayer today:

Dear Lord, we are grateful for the valuable lesson you have taught us about trusting You in all aspects of life. We acknowledge that You are always with us, whether in good or bad times, guiding us through every step of the journey. Whenever we feel exhausted, You lift us up and help us navigate the challenging paths. May we continually find solace in Your promises that You will always provide us with a way of escape. We humbly surrender our will to You, knowing that You have a perfect plan for our lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
