The Spirit of Faith

2 Corinthians 4:13 - “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;”

The spirit of faith provides the resilient and optimistic attitude that all God’s children have toward life. This is fostered by the influence of the Holy Spirit, which instills a deep trust in God's Word and encourages a righteous way of life. Without this spirit of faith, one's ability to trust and share the message of God's grace with others is compromised.

The spirit of faith motivates and uplifts us to stay relentless, uncompromising, and committed even in the face of persecution and death. It instills in a believer a profound willingness to give up everything, even their own life, so that others may hear the glorious gospel of salvation and everlasting life.

This cheerful and empowering attitude eagerly anticipates a future that surpasses any present-day realities. It prioritizes spiritual fulfillment over worldly comfort and is willing to endure challenges and hardships. This outlook joyfully looks forward to the promise of resurrection, made possible through the power of Christ's resurrection.

As children of God, we are blessed with the spirit of faith through the indwelling presence of the Holy Ghost, who has promised to be with us forever. When we surrender to His power and the will of the Father, we can genuinely experience the strength of this powerful spirit.

We must consider it a privilege to have the spirit of faith and embrace its power, enabling us to lead victorious lives and be faithful in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Prayer for today!

My heavenly Father, I sometimes find myself weak and not inspired to serve You. I now realize this happens when I fail to yield to the control of the Holy Spirit. Help me, Lord, to always be aware of the Spirit’s power within me so I will always have the desire to serve and live for Your glory and will. Amen!
