God Is Not Finished With Me Yet!

Philippians 1:6  - “Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 1:6 conveys a message of enduring confidence in God’s work within believers ensuring their growth and essential completion in Christ.

This is a comforting verse that reminds us of God’s unwavering commitment to our life journey. It also assures us that God, who initiated a good work within us, will carry it through to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Even when circumstances seem bleak or insurmountable, we take heart—God is not finished with you yet. His faithfulness endures, and He remains the author and finisher of our faith.

What an amazing story that reminds us of Moses! Despite his mistakes and setbacks, God continued to work in his life. Moses went from being a prince in Egypt to tending sheep in the desert, but God’s purpose was not thwarted. So, if you ever feel like there’s no light at the end of your tunnel, be encouraged—God is still at work, perfecting His plan for you and me!

The God of creation is our God! I stand in awe of His power and majesty today. As I get older, there are more and more things I cannot do. However, I serve an ageless God whose power will never change. God can do anything and everything in your life and mine. If He could speak the worlds into existence, He can speak; and my needs will be supplied. His abilities are never the question, why my faith in Him to do all that is needed and all I cannot do.

But as I reflect on God’s Word everyday, God is not finished with you and me, yet. As long as we live, He has a work for us to do. Our faithfulness to serve God depends on our personal relationship with the Lord.Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us…….It is the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. The closer we draw to Jesus, the more we desire to serve Him.

The passage of time changes my ability to serve, but with every

Season of life are new opportunities to be used by God in His service. The Sunday School teacher may become the teacher of the Bible college, the preacher may become the Director of the Sunday School Ministry, the Bible college teacher may become the President of either the Ladies Ministry or the Men’s Ministry, one of the pastors can become a missionary to another country, or a church member join the Prayer Warriors’ Team to intercede on behalf of others.

God reveals His place of service to us as we stay in fellowship with Him. It has been my experience that the older I get and the longer I serve Him, the more I must have time with Him.  This is to remind you, brethren, not to neglect your personal time with the Lord. It is in those times that God reveals His will to our lives. God is not finished with you. He has a work for you to do and you will know His plan and purpose for your life as you stay in His presence. There is a promise in Philippians 1:6. God doesn’t abandon His work halfway, rather, He diligently carries it throughout to its intended fulfillment. Paul looks forward to the “day of Jesus Christ,” a future time when believers will fully experience the culmination of God’s work. This could refer to the rapture, the end of tribulation, or grandly expressed as the joyous and glorious encounter with Christ.

Our Prayer for Today:

Lord God, thank you for Your Word that You are not finished with us yet. Your work in our lives is ongoing, and we trust that You will complete what You have started in us. Lord, we confess that there have been moments where we feel incomplete, broken and inadequate. But Your Word assures us that You are faithful until the end. Lord, help us to be vessels willing to serve you always. Thank you for making us realize that Your work is not yet finished and it’s an ongoing masterpiece. Thank you for the grace to continue Your mighty work with hope, with Your power, mercy and love. In Jesus name. Amen.
